Gate & Ground System Projects
The primary objective of this type of work is to report on the existing condition of ramp equipment and outline repair recommendations to maintain a reliable operation, value and expected life. Under these programs, CAGE made recommendations based on the passenger boarding bridge serviceability and budgetary rough order of magnitude (ROM) costs for assessment recommendations utilizing forecasts, operating budgets, and upcoming lease negotiations with the user airlines.

This technical expertise and practical experience combines to provide a project approach that is strengthened by in-depth knowledge of planning, design, technologies, manufacturing, construction, and application of TSA security mandates and processes, implemented with a keen awareness that any solution must be viable from an operational and financial perspective.
PROJECTS

Peer Review Projects
CAGE has been contracted as an un-biased 3rd party entity to examine BHS designs and specifications produced by other contractors. The objective of the peer review is to ensure that the client’s needs are met and that the designs and specifications meet industry standards. After the assessment, CAGE provides their recommendations to the client and their design team.
Aircraft Parking and Design
CAGE provided airport parking design services for many airports and airlines. Airport facilities, ramp operations management, and aircraft types are constantly changing and evolving. These changes typically require new ramp and equipment layouts. All aspects of aircraft movement are analyzed and designed to ensure ramp personnel, aircraft, and ground equipment are safely and efficiently utilized. The following are a few examples.

Terminals A & C Re-gating Project
Newark (EWR)
Terminals A & C Gate Re-design

Security Systems (TSA)
Through its completed and on-going security assessment projects, CAGE Inc. has first-hand experience with the TSA security mandates and evolving performance criteria their interpretation, integration and coordination issues, TSA approved plans, airport pilot program design criteria and implementation requirements, as well as a thorough knowledge of EDS technologies and its many applications.

BHS Simulation & Modeling
Our designers have used simulation modeling to design BHS systems which meet airport operating requirements. By validating the systems operational capability, designers were able to ensure that the system would meet current and future operational load requirements.

Web Based Reporting - bTracs™
The bTracsTM system is an add-on solution designed to integrate with an existing SQL database infrastructure and provide summarized reports in a common web browser interface. The system provided airlines and airport management summarized bag tracking data for the purpose of trending and highlighting problem areas associated with lost or missorted bags. The concept behind bTracs is to provide airport or airline management a more expedient and simpler way of identifying, not so obvious, problematic areas which affect normal daily operations.

Baggage Information Tracking System (B.I.T.S)
The BHS Installation Tracking System (B.I.T.S) is specifically geared for the needs of CAGE’s field engineers, as well as our project managers. It is used primarily to provide tracking of historical and current data, to help ensure timely delivery of mechanical, electrical and control installation/punch list items, and to help ensure accurate record keeping of tasks and all assigned equipment, thereto.
